Kate Joerger completed her undergraduate degree at Penn State University with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology. During her studies at Penn State, she completed an internship with the Penn State golf team, focusing on the biomechanics of the golf swing in addition to movement screening and mobility programs for each member. She also worked with various sports teams, including football, baseball, and basketball, providing personal training and preventative treatment programs.

She went on to complete her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree at DeSales University in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Throughout her three years, she completed research on coccydynia (pain in the tailbone) in college dancers, and she presented at both local and national conferences. During this time, she discovered her interest in orthopaedics and had aspirations for specialized training in this setting.

In her free time, she enjoys weight lifting, playing soccer, and staying active by learning new sports and hobbies. She focuses on treating each patient with individualized manual therapy according to each patient’s personal deficits. She prefers a holistic approach to therapy including restorative manual treatments, education, and specific exercises designed to guide each patient to their prior level of function.
