Performed by our specialty-trained shoulder surgeons, Daniel S. Plessl, M.D., and Erin E. Forest, M.D., the VIP system helps our specialists create an individualized shoulder replacement plan to meet each patient’s specific needs and goals.

Using a CT scan and the advanced VIP system, our surgeons are able to predefine the boundaries of the operation through a three-dimensional image of the shoulder. When the procedure begins, our doctors use their expertise, the 3D image, and the VIP system to maintain those specified boundaries and spare healthy bones or ligaments from being removed.
