Dr. Erin Forest Holds the Highest Level of Hand Surgery Training and Certification in the County

Erin Forest, M.D., hand and upper extremity surgeon at Vero Orthopaedics, is fellowship-trained in hand surgery in addition to holding board certification in both orthopaedic surgery and surgery of the hand through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. The only fellowship-trained hand surgeon in Indian River County, Dr. Forest can be reached at (772) 569-2330 and is available to see patients at 3955 Indian River Boulevard, in Vero Beach and 801 Wellness Way, Suite 100, in Sebastian.

As a fellowship-trained hand surgeon, Dr. Forest has undergone specialized postgraduate training specifically in surgery of the hand, allowing her to provide the highest possible level of orthopaedic hand care. Her expertise includes the following injuries, conditions and treatments of the hand and upper extremity:
-    Arthritis of the fingers, thumb, wrist, elbow and shoulder.

Dr. Forest received her medical degree from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City, Iowa. After medical school, Dr. Forest completed her orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Iowa Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation. She chose to further specialize and underwent a hand, upper extremity and microvascular surgery fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Forest is certified by and holds a subspecialty certificate in surgery of the hand from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. She also serves as a reviewer for The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery.
